By combining photography with drawing, film, stop-frame animation and music, I explore different versions of reality. The animated film ‘Lost in Screens’ shows a day in the life of an office worker whose distinction between the real and virtual begins to dissolve. Seduced by, and lost to, the virtual worlds of Facebook and Second Life eventually only a shadow of her former-self remains. The human urge to approximate the real is also explored in the photographic series ‘Little Worlds’. These images offer an unsettling vision of a quintessentially English landscape through fictional and yet familiar narratives, which explore the tensions beneath the surface of this seemingly innocent world.
